RCM Composers for Screen unveil their latest scores accompanying footage created by young film-makers.

Alumni from the College’s Composition for Screen course are in demand throughout the Hollywood and UK film industries, and hold numerous accolades including BAFTA, Grammy, Golden Globe and Academy awards.

Don’t miss this chance to hear the film composers of the future as their scores are performed live to new films by young producers, projected above the orchestra in the cinematic Britten Theatre.

An emotional scene exploring a man's turbulent state of mind as he reflects on events of the day.

An American instructional children’s film from the Cold War, turned into satire.

An animated short film exploring the feeling of not fitting in and searching for home.

An animated short inspired by Princess Wencheng of the Tang Dynasty.

An excerpt from Buster Keaton's 1921 silent film The Haunted House, spooky but comical.

An exploration of love and self-identity through a story of separation and reunion.

A reflection of family ties as estranged parents reflect on their son's upbringing and their own mortality.

The Wolf Guru (composer: Han Xiao)
In an animated adaption of an ancient Chinese folktale, a man is under attack by wolves.

Horizon Zero Dawn (composer: Dengxiao Wang)
Scenes from the video game, with both day and night scenes of exploration and combat.

Space Cat Hob (composer: Subhang Narasimhan)
A feline hero, decked out in a fancy space suit, embarks on a top-secret mission that quickly goes wrong when he crashes on an alien planet.

The RCM provides light refreshments throughout the year. There is also a range of restaurants, cafés and other establishments nearby, most adjacent to South Kensington station.

RCM Café

The RCM Café serves barista-style coffees, sandwiches, snacks, salads and hot food. There is also access to outside seating in our new 1851 courtyard.

Monday-Friday: 8.30am-4.30pm

Saturday: 8.30am-4.30pm (term time only)

The main entrance to the RCM has eight steps up from the pavement and two inside the main doors. A lift is available for visitors with limited mobility. The lift is built into the smaller staircase to the left of the main entrance steps. There is an intercom button on the control panel, which can be seen and reached easily from the street. On arrival, press the buzzer to notify a member of RCM staff, who will come out to meet you and operate the lift for you.

All our event venues can be accessed by visitors with limited mobility via the lift at the main entrance.
