Specialising in 17th and 18th-century music, historical violinist Simon Standage has extensive experience as a leader and soloist with the English Concert and the City of London Sinfonia, as well as numerous recordings.
A founding member of the Salomon String Quartet and director of Collegium Musicum 90, Simon has performed as a soloist and chamber musician across Europe, North America, and Asia. His discography includes award-winning recordings of Vivaldi, Corelli, and Mozart, and his work has been pivotal in shaping the historically informed performance movement.
Today, Simon works with musicians from the Historical Performance Faculty, bringing a rich depth of expertise to this masterclass.
