Campus and Facilities
At the ÃÛÑ¿TV, our historic campus becomes your home. We invest significantly in our spaces and facilities so that your learning environment is the best it can be. 
The RCM is proud to offer some of the finest facilities anywhere in the world, including the Amaryllis Fleming Concert Hall, Performance Hall, Performance Studio, Britten Theatre, and two large orchestral and opera rehearsal rooms as well as individual practice facilities.
Our impressive performance spaces are matched by top-quality academic and technical provisions. The extensive RCM Library can be found alongside our acclaimed RCM Museum, housing one of the richest collections of music-related objects in the UK and Europe.
We also offer support with high-quality accommodation options, including our hall of residence, Prince Consort Village, to provide a strong foundation for your learning.
Our performance spaces
With two Steinway grand pianos, a custom-built Flentrop Orgelbouw organ and a seating capacity of 400, the Amaryllis Fleming Concert Hall is the primary rehearsal and concert venue for RCM orchestras and large ensembles.
The Amaryllis Fleming Concert Hall has played host to many great names, including Richard Strauss, Jean Sibelius, Ralph Vaughan Williams, Benjamin Britten, Nicola Benedetti, Vladimir Ashkenazy and Bernard Haitink.

Our versatile 138-seat Performance Hall is ideal for ensemble performances and orchestral rehearsals. It boasts a retractable stage, a Fazioli grand piano, comprehensive technical infrastructure and variable acoustics.

The Britten Theatre is one of London’s best-loved opera stages, with responsive acoustics and an intimate auditorium appreciated by performers and audiences alike. Boasting excellent technical facilities, the Britten Theatre is the focus of the thriving RCM Opera Studio, and also hosts a variety of instrumental performances. It has an orchestra pit for 80 musicians, a Steinway grand piano, four dressing rooms, a seating capacity of 400, and its own bar and foyer.

Our 100-seat Recital Hall is used for smaller events and more informal occasions. It features two Steinway grand pianos, a harpsichord, projector and dropdown screen.

Seating up to 40 people, the Performance Studio is an intimate venue for solo and chamber performance.
Performance Studio
The three Parry Rooms, including the breathtaking Carne Room, offer unparalleled views of the Royal Albert Hall. Nestled in the eaves of the Blomfield Building, this suite of rooms boasts excellent acoustics, a grand piano, a harpsichord and an organ. The Parry Rooms are frequently used for chamber music and solo recitals, lectures and masterclasses.
Home to over 200,000 scores, books, music journals and recordings, with access to a wide range of online resources, our top-ranked Library supports your learning.
With our professional studio conditions, highly skilled engineers and pioneering Performance Simulator space, you can experience the cutting edge of sound and music technology.
Housing one of the richest collections of music-related objects in the UK and Europe, our Museum inspires teaching and research as well as hosting concerts and workshops.
Teaching and practice spaces
Practice Pods
As well as practice rooms and space for one-to-one and group teaching, the ÃÛÑ¿TV offers students the use of several soundproof Amadeus Music Pods, ideal for invidual practice in a self-contained environment.
Wolfson Centre
The Wolfson Centre in Music & Material Culture facilitates research, and provides access to the ÃÛÑ¿TV collections by students, professors and external researchers. The Wolfson Centre also offers object-based learning to small classes and groups, plus a conservation workshop, climate-controlled on-site storage for our collections, and a dedicated area for consultation, documentation and digitisation.
The RCM Studios are used in a wide range of technology-based courses and modules. Our video production suite is used for broadcasts and recordings of RCM concerts, while composition and production suites feature high-spec workstations for tuition and individual project work, with a wide range of professional software. Our Digital Innovation Lab also offers a state-of-the-art recording and mixing suite.
Opened by Dame Evelyn Glennie, the ÃÛÑ¿TV Percussion Suite features dedicated rehearsal spaces for timpani, vibraphone, marimba and orchestral percussion. The suite also includes a multi-percussion room, studio space and state-of-the-art technology for teaching, recording and rehearsing.
Accommodation
The ÃÛÑ¿TV has its own halls of residence in West London, Prince Consort Village. There is also a large rental market and other commercial options for student living.
